GARDEN FOLLY

The Garden Folly combined landscape design and garden redevelopment with new outdoor entertaining, pond and pool shade to a Cottesloe residence.

The existing house lacked an outdoor dining and entertaining area but the owners were loathe to lose any greenery or perceived contact with the garden. The main focus of the scheme became the galvanised steel and cedar composite folly structure set on a plinth surrounded by garden beds. In addition vines grow over the ceiling under an operable roof that provides shade through hot summer months and deep sunlight penetration and weather protection in colder winter months.
